Happy Heatwave, caffeinated resisters!
Hope you all had an energizing Fourth and everyone stayed hydrated and safe. The weekend was hella inspiring for me, I don’t know about y’all.
I’d like to take this moment to thank and express my extreme pride and love and appreciation and admiration and all the other good feels for the crew that headed to DC in sweltering conditions. Each one of you is truly an American hero.

While Monmouth had a heat related cancellation, Montgomery was out at an earlier time this week.
Friday we were on Deerfield celebrating the beginning of the Independence weekend.
Look how tall the sunflower is getting over there in Blue Ash!
We were able to do two bridges in Lockland, thanks to some reserve troops showing up (Thanks Kim, Jeff and Alesia!)
And even with all the 4th of July events, we still managed a hearty turnout at TESLA!
Meanwhile, CCA’s bravest were signing the constitution in DC!
And several were marching with candidates! Here’s Christy and Angela marching for Jonathan Bradner. Aren’t they cute lil squirrels?
Still plenty of other candidates to volunteer with, now is the time to get involved to FLIP THE HOUSE and SENATE this November.

MONDAY JULY 6
Hoffner was out tonight and will be out next Monday too! If you have the time, they have space for you (and your little dog, too!)
TUESDAY JULY
The weekly prayer at Butler Co Jail is happening at 10am.
And the Warren Co Dems are having a womens group meeting at their Party HQ.
WEDNESDAY JULY 8
The Harrison Bridge is BACK this week - they’ll be out at 5pm this time, park at the Starbucks on New Haven Rd.
I’m told there’s a weekly protest happning at Hoffner every Wednesday at 5pm. Topics for demonstration include Free Palestine, Abolish ICE and Trans rights.
There’s a zoom training if you’re interested in learning the art of Canvassing, hosted by Cara Jacobs’ campaign.
And States at the Core, those people that brought you the fabulous ICEWatch trainings are starting a new series on Election Protection that promises to be must-see TV.
THURSDAY JULY 9
Thursday is a two bridge day! First, on Montgomery, which should be back at it’s regularly scheduled time.
And Monmouth!
That night, there’s a meet and greet for District 1 candidate Greg Landsman! This is not a fundraiser, but an attempt to start a dialogue with your sitting congressman - submit your questions to the Bold New Democracy team.
There is also a sapphic singles mixer at 7pm at the Afterlife Bar.
FRIDAY JULY 10
Friday we’re starting off on the bridges!
Then we’ll be SHINDIGGING! All are welcome, but it’s a private address so email me for the details. We’ll get started at 6:30pm
Clermont Co Brewing Change Coffee Klatch will be as it always is, Friday at 4pm but I’m told they’ve changed over to a Gramma’s pizza in the area as Bean and Brew is now closed. More details to follow.
And there is a Queer Speed Friending event at Rhinegeist Brewing at 6pm.
SATURDAY JULY 11
Saturday is for TESLA! Come hang with the patriots, shade options are available.
There’s an NAACP block party at Samuel Ach park.
The Butler Co Dems are having a Day of Action for their SE teams.
And the Braver Angels are having a coffee convo at 10am at the Newport Panera.
SUNDAY JULY 5
Sunday’s Plainfield bridge is tabled this week in favor of the Baseball Unites Event downtown! Bring your best pro-immigrant messages.
There’s a July Pride event I’m calling Queer All Year (based on the caption of the original post I saw it on, which I LOVE) at the Village Hive of Glendale starting at 2pm
And Giff will be out canvassing in Norwood for Ground Truth. Meet up at The Gatherall at Factory 52 to get started.
The tireless Butler Co Dems are having a Brews and BBQ event at Municipal Brew Works. It is a ticketed event, rsvp to book yours.

MUST WATCH OF THE WEEK
I don’t often get much out of the “Sunday Shows” but Meet the Press this week was quite inspiring. Their guests were historians Ken Burns, Doris Kearns Goodwin and Smithsonian head Lonnie Bunch, who takes us through their special 250 exhibition. All 3 serve up some delicious slices of American Pie, check ‘em out.
